The IX1 is a single channel microelectrode preamplifier designed to serve a wide variety of applications including: Intracellular recording; Extracellular recording (with optional headstage, 8024-15); and Teaching applications requiring ease of use.

The IX1 is a complete instrument with DC current passing capability, filtering, and electrode impedance testing. A buzz button is included, but the optional BUZ-1 Universal Buzz Box adds amplitude, duration, and frequency features.
